Lids By Liam was formed in 2003 by Heather Kelley. When her son, Liam was born with complex congenital heart defects, she and her husband, Chris, were touched by the outpouring of love from family, friends and the community. Liam was given a handmade, knitted hat to keep his noggin warm in the hospital.
While Liam was sick, Heather spent countless hours by Liam's bedside, keeping watch over him and furiously knitting hats for other cardiac kids. Designing, knitting, and crocheting new hats has been a passion for her since then.
